Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Has responsibility for completing all quality checks and paperwork associated with job tasks.
• Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair faulty or damaged tooling.
• Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data of parts to determine tool specifications and tolerances.
• Keep presses operational.
• Perform preventative maintenance on molds.
• Restore damaged surfaces and re-machines to specifications.
• Reassemble, test, and adjust tooling.
• Perform slide changes.
• Check water flow on higher volume tooling.
• Knowledgeable in the areas of mold and tool making.
• Perform other repairs, corrections, and engineering changes to molds as requested by Production Tooling Manager.
• Teach and guide apprentices through all facets of mold making.

Education and/or Experience: Four to ten years related experience and/or training with Journeyman or Master craftsman certification; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Ability to learn new software as needed.
