HPC Software Engineer

Overview The HPC Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, deploys, documents, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software for high performance computing (HPC) systems based upon documented requirements. Responsibilities System architecture and design System scanning, audit, detection, and prevention High‑performance computing (HPC) engineering and/or systems Cloud engineering and/or systems Container security Container orchestration technologies, such as Kubernetes, RKE2 DevSecOps practices Reviews and tests software components for adherence to design requirements and documents test results Resolves software problem reports Utilizes appropriate software development and design methodologies for the environment Provides input to software components of system design, including hardware/software trade‑offs, software reuse, use of Open Source Software (OSS) and/or Commercial Off‑The‑Shelf (COTS)/Government Off‑The‑Shelf (GOTS) software in place of new development, and requirements analysis from system level to individual components Works with Configuration Management (CM) tools and Web Services implementation Requirements Active and current TS.SCI with FSP through MD Strong math or computer hardware background to understand HPC architecture and the complex mathematical principles underlying the software applications Education Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline plus seven (7) years of experience as an HSE in similar programs and contracts Master’s degree in the same field plus five (5) years of experience as an HSE in similar programs and contracts Or nine (9) years of experience as an HSE in similar programs and contracts Equal Opportunity Employer Lentech, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
