Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR) Specialist
Location: Brookfield, CT
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced AP/AR Specialist to manage the financial transactions of our organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in both accounts payable and receivable processes. This role is essential to maintaining strong vendor and client relationships and supporting the financial integrity of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Process vendor invoices and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized records of all AP transactions.
- Monitor and manage petty cash and expense reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Accounts Receivable:
- Generate and send customer invoices.
- Monitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Reconcile AR ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Communicate with clients to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
- Prepare aging reports and assist with collections efforts.
General Accounting Support:
- Assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Prepare financial reports related to AP/AR activities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in AP/AR or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for vendor and client interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or service industries.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and collection practices.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/hr.
