Third-Party Logistics Lead

Overview Raytheon is hiring a Third‑Party Logistics Lead to support the Third‑Party Logistics operated Receiving, Inspection, Warehousing, and Kitting processes in a new 450,000+ sq ft facility located in Marana, AZ. The role will collaborate with the 3PL Supplier and Raytheon factory representatives to drive and monitor key performance indicators, identify improvement opportunities, reduce waste, ensure safety standards, and support strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities Drive key strategic initiatives and develop world‑class warehousing and logistics services. Communicate and collaborate effectively with key business partners and assist the 3PL in operation planning and cost reductions. Serve as liaison between the Raytheon factory and 3PL operations. Monitor 3PL Key Performance Indicators and drive root‑cause and corrective action for improved performance. Monitor financial budgets and oversee invoicing; monitor and approve invoices. Ensure 3PL compliance with Statement of Work, work instructions, and all Raytheon requirements and standards. Lead operational reviews with the 3PL to monitor performance and hold 3PL accountable for appropriate resolution. Travel on a limited basis as required. Qualifications University degree or equivalent experience; minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience, or advanced degree and five (5) years’ experience. Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Inventory, or Operations. Experience leading teams; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Secret). U.S. citizenship required. High competency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with SAP, project management, materials operations, or logistics preferred. Knowledge of APICS certification, data analytics, Six Sigma or equivalent process improvement techniques preferred. Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Logistics advantageous. Strong leadership characteristics; ability to shift frequently between strategic and tactical tasks and communicate with all levels of the organization.
