Nutrition Program Coordinator (15 hours/week)

Salary Range: $17.50 per hour

The City of Attleboro Council on Aging is seeking an organized, compassionate, and community-minded individual to join our team as a part-time Nutrition Program Coordinator. This 15-hour-per-week position is a meaningful opportunity to support older adults through nutrition programming, meal coordination, and community engagement while helping create a welcoming and supportive environment for program participants.

Working under the supervision of the Council on Aging Director, the Nutrition Program Coordinator will help oversee and coordinate the daily nutrition services and kitchen operations for the Council on Aging. Responsibilities include collaborating with marketing and event staff to plan and implement nutrition programs, organizing kitchen and supply storage, ordering and maintaining inventory, coordinating food and nutrition supply orders, preparing and serving meals, and picking up catered meals and necessary ingredients. The role also includes maintaining meal attendance records in MySeniorCenter, ensuring all food preparation and kitchen operations follow federal, state, and local nutrition program regulations, and supporting community nutrition events and outreach activities. The coordinator will regularly interact with staff, volunteers, vendors, and program participants while helping maintain a positive and engaging atmosphere for older adults in the community.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent along with at least one year of experience in nutrition, food service, or a related field. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills, basic computer and record-keeping abilities, and a thorough understanding of regulations governing nutrition programs for older adults. Sensitivity to the needs of older adults and the ability to maintain professional boundaries are essential. Required certifications include Food Safe Certification, Allergens Certification, and CPR & First Aid Certification.
