Department Specific Information Inova L. J. Murphy’s Children’s Hospital is home to the largest, most comprehensive subspecialty neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in the region. Our 108-bed, Level IV NICU cares for high-risk infants requiring specialized care and observation. The NICU is also the first in the nation to receive The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™ for Prematurity. This certification represents the highest level of care for premature birth patients. Our nationally recognized, 226-bed Inova L.J. Murphy Children’s Hospital houses comprehensive medical services and specialists who focus on the unique treatment of younger patients. Inova L.J. NICU RN Qualifications Experience - 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, 1 year of NICU RN experience required Certification - Basic Life Support through AHA Licensure - Licensed Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse Education:BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
