Job Description: The Reunion Giving Officer plays a critical role in advancing Manhattanville University's philanthropic priorities by leading strategic reunion fundraising efforts focused on milestone reunion classes and leadership‑level alumni engagement. This frontline fundraising position is responsible for developing and implementing reunion giving strategies that increase alumni participation, strengthen volunteer engagement, and secure leadership and major gifts that advance the University's mission and strategic priorities. The Reunion Giving Officer will manage a portfolio of reunion and leadership giving prospects, with a focus on identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding alumni capable of making gifts ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 and above. This role serves as a key connector among Annual Giving, Alumni Relations, Leadership Giving, and Major Gifts, helping to build a sustainable donor pipeline while creating meaningful and engaging reunion experiences for alumni. Working closely with reunion volunteers and the Alumni Relations team, the Reunion Giving Officer will coordinate fundraising strategies for milestone reunion classes, including targeted outreach, peer‑to‑peer solicitation efforts, reunion campaigns, and donor stewardship initiatives. This position is ideal for an energetic, relationship‑driven advancement professional who is highly organized, collaborative, and passionate about alumni engagement and fundraising. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a demonstrated commitment to donor‑centered relationship building. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities Manage a dynamic portfolio of reunion and leadership‑level prospects, with responsibility for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of gifts ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 and above. Lead fundraising strategy development for milestone reunion classes, establishing participation and philanthropic goals that support institutional priorities. Recruit, train, motivate, and manage reunion volunteers and class committees to support peer‑to‑peer outreach, donor engagement, and reunion fundraising initiatives. Partner closely with colleagues in Alumni Relations, Annual Giving, and Leadership Giving to coordinate reunion campaigns, stewardship efforts, and alumni engagement strategies. Collaborate with Advancement Events and campus partners to integrate fundraising strategies into Heart & Home Weekend, alumni gatherings, regional programs, and special events. Conduct personal outreach, donor visits, virtual meetings, and stewardship activities to strengthen alumni relationships and identify leadership and major gift opportunities. Utilize Advancement CRM systems and prospect research tools to track donor engagement, analyze giving trends, and support reunion fundraising performance goals. Maintain accurate and timely donor records, contact reports, solicitation strategies, and follow‑up activity within the University's database systems. Partner with Annual Giving to ensure thoughtful stewardship and recognition of reunion donors, volunteers, and leadership contributors. Support targeted fundraising initiatives, including reunion campaigns, class challenges, giving days, and other Advancement priorities. Represent the University at alumni events, campus programs, and donor engagement opportunities, including evening and weekend activities as needed. Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Institutional Advancement team and University goals. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills with the ability to engage effectively with alumni, volunteers, donors, faculty, staff, and campus leadership. Demonstrated ability to build and sustain donor‑centered relationships with professionalism, strategic focus, and integrity. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time‑management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to function effectively in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment. Ability to work collaboratively across Advancement and campus departments. Comfort working with fundraising databases, CRM systems, and donor analytics tools. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace. Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed for alumni and fundraising events. Qualifications Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and achieving goals. Professional presence and sound judgment in interactions with internal and external constituents. Experience utilizing donor databases, CRM platforms, and fundraising software preferred. Education Bachelor's degree required. Experience Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in fundraising, alumni relations, advancement services, nonprofit management, marketing, public relations, or a related field. Experience working with volunteers, reunion fundraising, annual giving, or alumni engagement initiatives preferred. Demonstrated success in relationship management, donor cultivation, or frontline fundraising preferred. Higher education advancement experience preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Salary The annual salary for this position is $71,000-75,000. Hours Expectation Full‑time, 35 hours per week. Evening and weekend work required during reunion, alumni, and institutional events. Expected travel throughout the greater New York City region and Northeast corridor; additional travel may be required. Housing Housing is not provided.
