Unit Information: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Tell us about the unit(s):

• Number of Beds – 16
• Number of Staff – 35
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 5 staff per shift with a charge nurse
  • Night Shift – 5 staff per shift with a charge nurse
• Patient Ratios – 1:2
• EMR – CPN & Meditech

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• BLS & NRP

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• STABLE

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):   

• Intubation, Umbilical Line Placement, PICC placement, Lumbar Punctures, Xrays

Floating Area(s):

• WCS (Labor & Delivery-as baby nurse, Post-partum-as baby nurse)

Weekends and On call:

• Full time expected to do 5 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule
• No mandatory on-call.
