About the Position

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years of Sterile Processing experience and a minimum of 1 year of SPM experience. License: Valid State License required Certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA, HSPA or CBSPDS Must-Have: - Seasoned travelers only - Required to work weekends if needed, but probably not regularly - Ability to function independently with minimal training Description: This position requires experienced Sterile Processing Technicians. Candidates must have at least 3 years of Sterile Processing experience. A minimum of 1 year of experience in SPM is also required. Travel experience is mandatory. The candidate should possess certifications such as CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA, or CBSPDS. The role does not require floating between units. On-call duties are not required. The facility may need coverage on occasional weekends. Candidates will be expected to step in and function independently with minimal training. This is a high-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt quickly. Aseptic technique and the proper use of surgical equipment are essential skills. The position includes responsibilities related to sterilization processes and adherence to safety standards. It is important for candidates to have experience with various surgical instruments and sterilization equipment. Good communication skills are necessary to ensure effective collaboration within the team. References will be required prior to the start of the assignment. Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities if necessary. Candidates should be aware that refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
