Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a compassionate and skilled Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical care at a rehabilitation center. The role involves providing high-quality patient care, supporting rehabilitation goals, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including IV therapy and wound care.
• Conduct comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and monitor patient progress.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans and rehabilitation processes.
• Assist with procedures such as lab draws, IV insertions, and blood transfusions.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current RN license and a minimum of 1-year acute care hospital Med/Surg experience.
• Obtain and maintain BLS certification; ACLS and CRRN preferred.
• Demonstrate knowledge of telemetry procedures and post-acute quality indicators.
• Possess excellent communication skills and empathetic patient advocacy.
• Ability to pass telemetry competency assessments if applicable.
