Someone with a solid manufacturing foundation can continue developing their setup and inspection skills, while a more experienced operator can bring immediate value across multiple machining processes. ⚙️ What you’ll be doing Set up and operate assigned machines using established setup documents and procedures Read blueprints and verify parts against required specifications Inspect completed parts using appropriate inspection equipment Make machine offsets and tool changes to maintain quality Monitor machines while completing inspections and other production tasks Identify and troubleshoot equipment or process issues Perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines Maintain inventory for your assigned production area Update setup documents to reflect current programs and processes Provide backup support for laser engraving, assembly and grinding operations Keep your work area clean, organized and safe Assist with special projects and other production duties as needed ⭐ Shop highlights High-precision manufacturing environment Established company with more than 20 years of Swiss tooling experience Hands-on machine setup and operating responsibilities Opportunity to work across multiple production processes In-process inspection and quality ownership Exposure to grinding, laser engraving and assembly operations Custom and standard precision tooling products Pay based on applicable skills and experience Indoor manufacturing facility in Westfield ✅ What we’re looking for Required: Ability to follow machine setup documents and established procedures Ability to read and understand blueprints and equipment manuals Experience using inspection equipment to verify part quality Ability to make offsets and tool changes to maintain specifications Strong attention to detail Ability to organize work and meet production deadlines Ability to manage multiple processes, including inspecting parts while a machine is running Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment Commitment to following all safety and PPE requirements Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday Preferred: Previous machine setup and operating experience Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment Preventive maintenance experience Experience with grinding, laser engraving or assembly processes Background in precision machining or tooling manufacturing Work environment and physical requirements This position is based primarily in an indoor manufacturing environment with multiple machines operating at the same time. The work area may contain noise, sharp tools, cutting fluids, coolant oils and potential slip hazards. Candidates must be able to stand and walk frequently throughout the shift and perform repetitive motions requiring hand-eye coordination. The position may also involve occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling and grasping. Required PPE and posted safety procedures must be followed in designated manufacturing and warehouse areas.
