Principal Engineer, AI Security Governance

Salary: $221,200 - 387,100 per year Requirements:

• We need someone with experience applying or thoughtfully evaluating how AI can be integrated into workflows, decision-making, and problem-solving, including AI tools, automation, and insight analysis.
• We need 15+ years of relevant experience in security and software engineering, with hands-on technical leadership, or comparable experience combined with education.
• We need deep, current expertise in AI security, including LLM and generative AI threats, agentic AI risk, prompt and response protection, AI/ML supply chain, and AI governance frameworks.
• We need strong architecture and engineering capabilities across cloud and SaaS environments, with the ability to build and run controls directly, not just design them.
• We need experience with data security tooling such as DSPM/AISPM, DLP, and CASB, as well as identity and entitlement controls.
• We need a track record of turning complex technical risk into executive-, board-, and auditor-ready narratives.
• We need strong problem-solving skills across security and software engineering, with the ability to use data for diagnostics and to justify new solutions.
• We need working knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards, along with experience in Agile practices.
• We need the ability to build trusted partnerships with security and engineering teams across the company.
• You must be eligible for adjudication to access our US regulated market environments, and permanent residency or citizenship is required.

• We own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the AI Security Governance Program across all five control pillars.
• We architect controls across both the enterprise AI and platform AI tracks, keeping the two governance paths separate and well-defended.
• We deploy, configure, and mature security controls hands-on, including AI detection and response, data security posture management, and data-path controls for unmanaged access.
• We drive the move from manual security operations to AI-automated workflows, embedding automation into every control instead of staffing around it.
• We close the highest-severity gaps in AI data protection, agent permissions, and shadow AI.
• We author and maintain risk narratives and technical materials for CISO, board, and Audit Committee audiences with a high standard of accuracy and restraint.
• We provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and cross-functional partners, and we bring data into every decision.
