Phlebotomist

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. Work schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent One year or more of phlebotomy experience Two years or more of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient lab setting (preferred) Phlebotomy certification or training program from an accredited agency (in lieu of experience) Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently or in a team Comfortable working under minimal supervision Reliable transportation Flexibility to work overtime as needed Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test Benefits Eligible for comprehensive benefits, including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan, for employees scheduled 20+ hours per week.
