Small Engine Mechanic

Job TitlePrimary Purpose: Maintains/repairs power equipment such as portable saws, mowers, weed eaters, custodial vacuum cleaners (hand-held and backpack). Leads and assists ground crews that maintain district property/landscaping.QualificationsEducation/Certification: High school graduate or GED equivalent Valid Texas driver's license, insurable with Hutto ISD insurance carrier, and a good driving recordSpecial Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of machines and tools - including their designs, uses, repairs and maintenance Ability to operate z-trac mowers, weed trimmers, blowers, power tools, hand tools, gasoline backpack blowers, etc Ability to trim shrubs/trees, rake and mulch Ability to lift 50 lbs Ability to read and understand written instructions Ability to communicate (verbally)Experience: 1-3 years' experience in small engine mechanics, grounds keeping and landscape maintenance
