Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ER (Emergency Room) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekend Only Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 4 years License: Yes Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Experience in Level I - III trauma centers Description: This is an ER unit that operates as a Level III Trauma Center. The unit consists of 11 beds and 2 critical care rooms, with all rooms being private. There is one Behavioral Health Safe Room available for psych and seclusion needs. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. The electronic medical record system is Epic. Unit Assistants, who are mostly EMT trained, support the nurses on the floor. Weekend requirements may vary; options include every 3rd weekend, every other weekend, or every weekend. Both Friday/Saturday and Saturday/Sunday are considered weekends. Holiday shifts are expected based on the time of year and the agreed-upon schedule. There is no specific scrub color required. Shifts have start times of 0700, 1100, or 1900. Shifts are rotated unless there is an agreement for straight shifts, such as nights only. Self-scheduling is not available, but scheduling accommodations may be made as much as possible. There will be no floating to other units. Candidates must possess the required certifications and proof of vaccination for COVID-19.
