Job Details Position: Underwriter Location: Wayne, PA 19087 Position Type: Full Time Travel: None Shift: Day Category: Admin - Clerical Pay: $35.00 per hour (non‑exempt – hourly) Summary An underwriter evaluates and assesses risks associated with insurance policies, loans, investments, or other financial products to determine their eligibility for coverage or financing. They analyze data, financial statements, and other relevant information to make informed decisions that align with company policies and regulatory requirements. Duties & Responsibilities Receives and processes loan applications for manufactured home loans Utilizes internal and external loan operating system to ensure accurate data entry Underwrites loans in accordance with established guidelines Maintains a solid understanding of all relevant state and federal laws and regulations Maintains current knowledge of client and investor requirements Performs complete and in‑depth review of loan files including income, assets, credit and collateral Calculates debt to income ratio by reviewing paystubs, W2’s and/or tax returns as necessary Identifies and/or clears red flag or alerts Issues loan decision and condition file accordingly Reviews and approves conditions for compliance and completion of loan file Coordinates and prepares loan documents and adverse action notices, delivering within required timelines Resolves pre‑ and post‑closing issues related to underwriting Provides counseling to applicants regarding loan decision in a timely manner within company standards and guidelines Assists processors, sales staff, and partners in understanding underwriting decisions and conditions Provides outstanding customer service to internal and external clients Complies with updates and changes to loan programs and procedures Maintains all records in accordance with company procedures and files all related documentation in appropriate information and filing systems Schedule Monday to Friday with at least one Saturday a month 8 hours per day (day shift); work shift may vary and require later shift starts as determined by supervisor Benefits Dental Insurance Health Insurance Life Insurance Paid time off Vision Insurance 401K Work Location In person at office in Wayne, PA – This is NOT a hybrid or remote role.
