Surgical/Trauma ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Surgical/Trauma ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in critical care nursing within a Surgical/Trauma ICU environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Surgical/Trauma ICU setting.
• Monitor patient conditions and manage symptoms effectively.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal care and outcomes.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately.
• Float to other departments as needed, based on operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of full-time staff RN experience in a Surgical/Trauma ICU at a Level I Trauma Center.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
• Experience in similar-sized medical centers (500+ beds, Level 1 Trauma Center) is highly preferred.

Compliance Requirements

All licenses and certifications must be valid at the time of application submission and throughout the duration of the contract. Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the contract start date.

Additional Information

Requested time off during the initial contract is limited to a maximum of 7 days. Candidates must be prepared for floating to other areas within their skill set based on the operational needs of the unit.
