Software Engineer, Starlink Growth SpaceX is actively developing technologies to enable human life on Mars and is deploying Starlink, the world’s most advanced broadband internet system. As a Software Engineer on the Starlink Growth team, you will design and build high-performance web applications that empower customers to manage their deployed assets across aviation, maritime, and enterprise environments. Responsibilities Design, develop, and continually improve software solutions to support Starlink customer success and business operations Develop well‑architected, responsive, and performant web applications Build highly reliable and available software systems for Starlink Design and implement fault‑tolerant networks that operate for long periods with minimal maintenance at scale Create aesthetically and functionally flawless user experiences Collaborate with peers on architecture, design, and code reviews Deep dive into user problems to discover and create efficient solutions Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a STEM discipline; or 5+ years of professional experience building full‑stack software in lieu of a degree 2+ years of professional experience in software engineering Preferred Qualifications Experience with object‑oriented programming languages Experience with relational databases Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment Strong attention to detail Knowledge of requests, REST APIs, and authentication techniques Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts Professional experience in analytics, data science, or machine learning Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes Experience with UNIX‑like operating systems and CI/CD tools Additional Requirements Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed Must be able to travel to other SpaceX facilities as needed Compensation and Benefits Pay range: Software Engineer, Starlink Growth/Level I: $135,000 - $155,000 per year Software Engineer, Starlink Growth/Level II: $155,000 - $185,000 per year You may also be eligible for long‑term incentives, stock options, performance bonuses, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
