Job Description

Key Qualifications:

Valid Louisiana Teaching License/Certification with appropriate ESL or EL endorsements
Demonstrated experience in general education and English Language Arts instruction
Strong knowledge of ESL/EL teaching strategies for diverse language backgrounds
Exceptional patience, cultural empathy, and creativity to effectively support students
Ability to fulfill all professional responsibilities onsite

Primary Responsibilities:

Create and deliver tailored lesson plans to enhance English proficiency for non-native speakers
Assess student progress using various formative and summative methods
Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom that respects cultural diversity and builds student confidence
Collaborate with school staff, parents, and specialists to support student success
Maintain accurate records of student achievement and document instructional modifications
Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of individual learners
