A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in a complex academic medical center, with a proven track record of effective leadership in a surgery department, is essential. The role demands a leader with the ability to recruit, retain, and communicate a vision, as well as demonstrated clinical expertise and a strong academic record, including contributions to medical education and research.
