Your responses to the subsequent questions will be used when considering you for hire after placement on the register. The LA County Probation Department operates several facilities throughout the County designed to serve and care for youth while they are in juvenile detention. Working in a juvenile detention facility requires dedication to maintaining physical safety and supervision 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and 365 days per year.
It is CRUCIAL that the Probation Department maintain an adequate number of personnel to ensure safety and security of youth and staff, carry out facility operations and programming, and meet established standards and regulations. Personal responsibility and consideration for others are an important part of fulfilling our Mission and Vision.
