Director, Cell Therapy Trade Compliance Operations

Associate Director leading trade compliance operations for AstraZeneca's cell therapy supply chain network. Responsible for building scalable import/export and Free Trade Zone processes, managing cross-border execution, leading operational teams, and strengthening vendor performance to support patient-centered therapies across global sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead trade compliance operating model for import/export and FTZ execution across cell therapy network
- Execute compliant and timely cross-border shipments of patient materials, manufacturing inputs, and finished products
- Manage first-line escalation and business continuity for trade execution issues impacting patient timelines
- Drive process excellence, digitization, and operational visibility through workflow improvements and data analytics
- Build and lead high-performing team with clear direction, coaching, and performance management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Life Sciences, Logistics, or Engineering
- 8+ years in customs brokerage, import/export, trade compliance, or regulated supply chain operations
- Strong experience with FTZ, bonded operations, customs entry, and broker governance
- Demonstrated track record leading operating models, process improvement, and scalable business processes
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and ability to lead in matrixed environments
- Advanced degree (MS, MBA) preferred
- Experience with analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet) preferred
Compensation: $115,919.20 base
