Senior Architect

A Senior Architect at H2M architects + engineers works in developing and executing architectural design work along with coordinating the efforts of both in-house and outside teams who handle structural engineering, MEP design, civil and environmental engineering services.


Our work environment includes a first-class office with the latest CAD, Revit, and BIM tools, on-site fieldwork, and the client's project location.

H2M's Architecture team balances form and function, creativity and practicality, and the natural and built environments to deliver thoughtful, responsive design solutions. Since establishing the practice in 1987, we have collaborated closely with clients to develop sustainable, attainable designs grounded in professional expertise and market-specific experience. Through collaboration and best practices, we create architecture that meets the evolving needs of our clients and the communities they serve.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop relationships with key clients for client satisfaction and business expansion.
• Build new client relationships with key accounts and develop strategic teaming relationships with firms in selected markets and identify appropriate teaming partners to secure work.
• Identify key accounts within targeted markets; provide executive presentations and maintain close relationships with a select channel of contacts at key accounts.
• Attend appropriate trade shows, when needed, creating greater exposure, strengthening the company's image, resulting in the generation of good leads and follow-up.
• Manage all aspects of client relations, including attending meetings.
• Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive architectural activities.
• Key role in development of projects, from design development through construction documents and services during construction administration
• Ability to demonstrate creativity, foresight, and mature architectural judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented architectural problems.
• Determine compliance with technical documents and industry-specific standards and codes.
• Involved in the analysis of client problems in conceiving and developing architectural solutions to those problems.
• Perform other like duties as assigned.

Education & Qualifications

• 10+ years of architectural design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in architecture required. Master's degree preferred.
• Professional RA required, architecture enrollment in NCARB IDP preferred. LEED accreditation is also a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of Architectural Design.
• The ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
• Knowledge of project specifications & CSI division formatting.
• Exceptional knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Exposure to Revit and other BIM software.
• Proficiency in Photoshop, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational, time management & multitasking skills paired with excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $150,000 annually.
