Growing together.The Financial Consultant - Membership Analytics will support membership-focused analytics within Optum Health Finance. This role will help evaluate membership performance, growth trends, retention, attribution, enrollment movement, and other key drivers that impact revenue forecasting, planning, and business performance.The position will work closely with Finance, Revenue Analytics, Operations, Actuarial, and business partners to develop reporting and provide datasets that support financial planning and leadership decision-making. This role requires strong financial acumen, analytical curiosity, and the ability to work across data sources and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Support membership analytics related to financial planning, forecasting, business performance, and growth initiativesAnalyze membership trends, enrollment movement, retention, attribution, and market-level performance driversPartner with Finance, Operations, Actuarial, and business teams to understand business questions and deliver actionable insightsSupport recurring forecast, budget, variance analysis, and performance management processes related to membershipAssist in identifying drivers of membership changesImprove existing reporting processes through automation, standardization, and enhanced data qualityManage multiple priorities while delivering accurate, timely, and business-relevant analysisBuild knowledge of Optum Health membership data, business models, and financial performance driversYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:1.5+ years of financial analysis and / or analytics experienceDemonstrated financial acumen and familiarity with P&L managementIntermediate or higher level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office productsExperience working in a dynamic team environmentDemonstrated aptitude to learn and institute new processesPreferred Qualifications:Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field1+ years of healthcare, payer, managed care, or related industry experienceExperience with SQL, Python, or other analytical programming toolsExperience with visual analytics or business intelligence softwareExposure to membership, revenue, enrollment, forecasting, or financial performance analytics*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment.
