Welding Engineer TechnicianThe Welding Engineer Technician has a strong connection to the trade of welding and technology and can work both independently and as a team player. This position is responsible for implementing and following the sales strategy by using in-depth and advanced welding techniques. The Welding Engineer Technician demonstrates the value of Fronius products and services to new and existing customers. The goal is to provide welding support to our regions and customers as well as the promotion of the Fronius brand in the welding industry with the purpose of increasing market share. This position requires frequent travel to customer sites, installation sites, and meetings.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesAssumes responsibility for supporting all aspects of Fronius welding technology and equipmentCarries out weld tests for clients or prospective clients and documents the results on Fronius Intranet (CRM, SharePoint)Records all customer-related activity in the CRM PlatformOrganizes and executes products and weld tests at customer locations prior to and during production start-upEvaluates client needs to maximize products, services, upgrades, and overall solutions for their welding challengesWorks with existing and prospective customers, providing guidance and support of Fronius welding productsUnderstands customer needs and provides suggestions for needed spare parts as well as other materials to be stocked by customer.Provides customer support in product availability, pricing, quotes, special situations, information for bids, equipment documentation, and weld demonstrationsProvides e-mail and telephone support for routine and complex welding queries/problemsProvides technical support for the introduction of products/systems/processes into the marketPrograms, troubleshoots, and tests automated systems (such as robots and hard automation)Performs/Supports installations, commissioning, and training at client locationsDesigns and conducts trainings and events for Fronius regional teams and clientsCreates and customizes training documents for new and existing customersParticipates in trade fairs and provides product and technical guidance and support at regional and national eventsLeads and supports initiation of modifications/further development of Fronius products.Forwards feedback about the technical aspects of the market, competition, and products to Technical Support InternationalFacilitates and leads feasibility studiesDeals with challenges and promotes teamwork practices to achieve established goals and objectives effectively and positivelyManages executive, mid-management, and technical decision makers within a single organizationPromotes and supports the "Fronius Way" philosophyAll other duties as assigned by managementRequirementsAssociate degree or bachelor's degree requiredMust be willing and authorized to travel throughout the USA and possibly overseasRegular TravelMust have a valid driver's license.Experience in the field and/or Welding Engineering TechnologyHigh interest in technology and in particular enjoys the trade of weldingKnowledge of Spanish and/or German a plusStrong knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Power PointAbility to work independently and/or remotelyCandidate must be able to work with a team or independently as the need arisesHigh degree of problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and welding skillsHighly organizedAbility to work on multiple projectsDemonstrated ability as a team contributorPossess a valid passport, or has the ability to obtain and pay for a valid passportHealth and SafetyMust comply with all safety and health standards established by Fronius USA, LLC and federal, state, or local requirements.Ability to bend and reach, with repetitive motion.Hearing, naturally or with aids.Vision 20/20, with or without correction.Physical demands of the job include standing, use of hands to manipulate objects, talking, hearing, looking, typing, walking, twisting, and bending,Employees could be requested to lift, carry, reach above the shoulder, stoop, squat, kneel, and crouch.Employees could be required to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.Employees will perform duties in an office environment and a field setting.Employees will be occasionally exposed to tripping hazards.The noise level in the work environment is usually low to medium.We offer a generous benefit package including:Flexible work schedule with hybrid optionsPTO available immediately plus 11 paid holidaysEmployer matched 401(k)Medical, Dental, and Vision covered 100% for employees50% company paid Medical, Dental, and Vision for your familyEmployee Assistance ProgramShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilityFlexible Spending Accounts for Health Care and Dependent CareFronius USA, LLC is proud to offer Equal Employment Opportunities and committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace.
