Senior Manager of Quantitative Research & Analytics

OverviewWHO are we looking for?CAPTRUST is seeking a Senior Manager of Quantitative Research & Analytics to join the Investment Group. Reporting to the Director, Quantitative Research & Analytics, this role will develop and maintain models, research tools, and data workflows supporting investment decisions across asset classes and client segments. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills, institutional investment experience, disciplined execution, and an ability to explain complex analysis clearly.ResponsibilitiesExecute quantitative research supporting security selection, portfolio construction, risk management, strategic asset allocation, and CAPTRUST’s broader investment platformBuild and maintain stock models, valuation tools, research dashboards, and 10-year Capital Market Assumption frameworks under the Director’s guidanceDevelop risk and simulation tools, including Value-at-Risk, Monte Carlo and historical simulation, stress testing, scenario analysis, and backtestingImprove investment data management, governance, quality assurance, documentation, and reproducible research workflows Partner with quantitative and fundamental investment colleagues; contribute analysis to external manager due diligence and monitoringSupport the firm’s market outlook and quarterly House Views with quantitative perspectives on opportunities, risks, and portfolio positioningEvaluate AI, machine learning, alternative data, and emerging technologies, and help implement approved applicationsPrepare and present research findings to the Director and other stakeholders; manage assigned projects and share expertise across the Investment GroupQualificationsMinimum Qualification:Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline and a master’s degree in quantitative finance, financial engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, data science, economics, or a related field.10+ years of experience with institutional investment teams in research, portfolio management, quantitative investing, or a related function.Advanced proficiency in Python and R; expertise in stochastic calculus, Monte Carlo simulation, applied statistics, econometrics, and time series analysis.Experience building and validating institutional investment models, with strong data management, governance, documentation, and quality assurance skills.Fluency in Bloomberg and FactSet, plus exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.Demonstrated ownership of complex analytical work, sound judgment, and effective collaboration across teams and organizational levels.Desired Qualifications/Skills:CFA designation; experience with Capital Market Assumptions, strategic asset allocation, portfolio optimization, factor modeling, and multi-asset risk analysis.Experience with dashboards and visualization tools, cloud computing, version control, modern data engineering, AI or machine learning, alternative data, and private markets analytics.Experience conducting external manager due diligence and managing multiple priorities in a collaborative investment environment.WHAT can you expect from your career at CAPTRUST?Our colleagues, like our clients, tend to stay with CAPTRUST for years.
