Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment at a Critical Access Hospital in Meeker, Colorado. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care across diverse patient populations, including adult, pediatric, orthopedic, and long-term care patients.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5. This position is crucial for maintaining high standards of patient care within a community-focused healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for Med-Surg (adult, pediatric, orthopedic) and Long Term Care patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and patient safety.
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret vital signs, and report changes to the medical team promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Long Term Care patient care.
• COVID-19 vaccination required per State mandate.
