When you join the Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division (COGMD), you join a global team that helps to power the global energy industry as well as provide power and propulsion on the water.**About the role:**The Senior Strategy Consultant leads development and execution of the mid to long-term business development strategy with the business partners focused on Power & Energy markets. **Additional Information:*** Relocation is available for this position* Sponsorship is not available for this position* This position requires working onsite five days a week* Travel up to 25%**What you will do:*** Works with business partners across the organization and outside consultants to gain industry trends and collect voice of the customer and voice of the business to propose ideas for business growth.* Develop and deliver proposals for services offerings, including in areas where complementary distribution models may be required.* Planning and managing all projects viewed as critical to department and the enterprise, including interacting with internal and external service providers.* Engaging across the enterprise with various engineering, product support, supply chain, and business resources subject matter experts.* Gather information and assess the market including competitive issues, market dynamics, market service needs and the company position in the industry.**What you will have:*** **Customer Focus**: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.* **Decision Making and Critical Thinking**: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.* **Effective Communications**: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors* **Negotiating**: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.* **Strategic Thinking:** Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.### ### **Summary Pay Range:**$128,470.00 - $192,710.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
