Environmental Intern

Arcosa, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Intern in our Dallas headquarters to support our Corporate Environmental team across multiple business units. As a summer Environmental Intern, you will gain experience in environmental compliance within a multi-industry organization over a 5-10 week period. The intern will also gain exposure to water, waste, and air regulatory programs and assist with compliance activities across various sites.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Compile & organize environmental data and records for applicable regulatory reports
• Assist in preparing compliance documentation
• Support tracking and maintenance of environmental permits and compliance calendars
• Assist with implementation of environmental initiatives and best practices
• Review environmental compliance documents and procedures
• Assist in developing and implementing BMPs to programs
• Conduct site visits to support environmental compliance
• Assist with internal environmental audits
• Gain exposure to environmental regulations related to: Water, Waste, & Air through project support and research
• Additional duties as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Seeking Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, Sustainability, or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, be creative and innovative
