Pay Range: starting at $21/HR, depending on experience

Position Overview

Our client in Nashville is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their growing finance team. This position is responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general administrative accounting functions.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with numbers, possesses strong organizational skills, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Review invoices, receipts, and financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with invoice entry, payment processing, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and update spreadsheets, reports, and accounting records.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
• Monitor customer accounts and assist with collections efforts as needed.
• Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding billing and payments.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• File, scan, and organize accounting documents and records.
• Assist the accounting team with special projects and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.
