THE WORK

The Submarine Communications and Expendables (S&E) portfolio is seeking an Associate Program Manager to drive manufacturing execution across multiple concurrent programs. You will be responsible for delivering a varied set of products-including OE-538, BCA-5000, Buoyant Wire Antennas (BWAs), Auxiliary Wire Antennas (AWAs), and International After-market support-to both domestic and international customers.

Key Responsibilities

Program Execution: Plan, coordinate, and execute the production work scope for several programs simultaneously, ensuring alignment with overall program schedules.

Milestone Management: Monitor critical-path milestones, track progress against contractual delivery dates, and take corrective action when needed.

Risk Identification & Mitigation: Proactively spot technical, supply-chain, and quality risks; develop and lead cross-functional mitigation plans.

Communication & Reporting: Provide concise, data-driven status updates, escalation briefs, and decision-support documentation to senior leadership and functional teams.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Influence and coordinate efforts across engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and quality without direct authority.

Budget & Quality Control: Ensure program deliverables remain within budget and meet stringent defense-industry quality standards.

Basic Qualifications:

· Project management/leadership experience

· Experience with earned value management, schedule analysis and risk management

· Experience as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)

· Experience in proposal management process

· Experience with managing Order, Sales, EBIT & Cash commitments and projections

· Knowledge of DoD contract types (CPFF, FFP, CPIF, etc.)

· Experience with international contracts, including requirements for TAAs, Export Licenses, etc.

· Cross functional team leadership

· Strong organizational skills

· Demonstrated self-starter who can take initiative and work independently with minimal direction and oversight

·Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance

Desired Skills:

· 5+ years of project management such as deputy PM, CAM, Subcontracts PM, etc.

· Experience with organizing and leading a team with simultaneous competing priorities

· Knowledge and/or experience with manufacturing processes

· Knowledge and/or experience with leading large and many proposals simultaneously

· Experience with working with cross-functional teams

· Experience with both USN and International customers

· Strong written and verbal communications skills with track record of presenting to internal and external customers

· Demonstrated maturity, judgement, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills

· Demonstrated track record of delivering results, particularly on time contractual requirements and within Profit & Loss commitments

· Possesses at least a Secret Security Clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $113,900 - $200,905. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $131,000 - $227,125. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
