Dogwood Veterinary Specialty and Emergency is growing, and we are looking for a board-certified or residency-trained Criticalist to join an established critical care team that believes exceptional ICU medicine is built through collaboration.

You won't be practicing critical care alone.

Dogwood has six ECC doctors on staff , creating an environment where criticalists can collaborate with criticalists, discuss challenging cases, share knowledge, support one another, and continue pushing the standard of care forward.

As we expand into our new Dunwoody hospital, you'll have the opportunity to help shape the next chapter of Dogwood's ICU while being supported by an experienced critical care team and a broad network of specialists.

Practice With Criticalists, Not Just Around Them

One of the most important things we can offer a Criticalist is other Criticalists .

Having six ECC doctors within Dogwood means access to colleagues who understand the complexity of your cases, the decisions you make, and the demands of ICU medicine.

It creates opportunities for case collaboration, shared protocols, mentorship, teaching, clinical discussion, and developing new capabilities together.

We want our criticalists to learn from one another while still having the autonomy to practice medicine and develop their individual clinical interests.

Whether your interests include mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal therapies, sepsis, trauma, transfusion medicine, renal replacement therapy, advanced monitoring, or another area of critical care , we want to give you the resources and support to pursue them.

True Multispecialty Medicine

Complex patients rarely fit neatly into one specialty.

At Dogwood, you'll work directly with Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Oncology, Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Emergency, and other specialty services to provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients.

That means direct access to specialists when cases become complicated, advanced diagnostics when you need them, and a team that believes the best outcomes come from working together.

Rather than asking one Criticalist to build an ICU from the ground up, we're bringing the experience, standards, and culture of an established ECC team into a new hospital—and looking for someone who wants to help shape what comes next.
