Description: This is a Level III Trauma Center with a Level III NICU and Magnet Designation. The facility has 636 beds, including diagnostic and fluoroscopy rooms. The unit has an average patient volume of 15-20 patients per tech per day. We are looking for a tech with strong surgical and procedural skills. The patient types include inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, and procedural cases across all age ranges, with limited pediatric exposure. The department has a lead tech on the first shift and has radiologists on-site 24/7. There are 14 techs on days, 7 on the second shift, and 3 on the third shift. Support from hospitalists and intensivists is available 24/7. The technology includes EMR with EPIC, X-ray equipment from various manufacturers, and a PACS system. Weekend rotation includes every other weekend, with on-call requirements for one shift per week. Holiday expectations entail working one holiday during the contract. Scheduling is flexible, with variable start times based on departmental needs. The unit culture is fast-paced with a high acuity of patients.
