Description

• Deliver individualized speech therapy focusing on aspects like communication, language, fluency, voice challenges, and swallowing difficulties.
• Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to design comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, guaranteeing continuity of care throughout the therapeutic process.
• Ensure precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Remain abreast of ongoing advancements in the field through educational pursuits and peer cooperation.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Therapy Specialist .
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
