It is time to take your career to the next level. In this Medical Assistant role, you will learn from healthcare experts as you work side by side to provide care for patients in a clinic setting. Our teams utilize a collaborative working model to build connections across our centers and communities. The primary center for this position is Gahanna, IN, though you may also operate in other local work sites on an as needed basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals and answer patient calls as needed
• Perform Clinical Intake with patients to include taking and recording vital signs and patient history
• Assist patients as needed with walking, transfer, specimen collection, exam preparation, etc.
• Maintain clinical supplies and equipment and ensure proper storage of biohazards
• Clean exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control
• Assist providers with minor, in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testing
• Assist with allergy injections, mixing of allergy vials and allergy testing

Required Qualifications:

• Additional Requirements for LPNs: Valid IN LPN license
• Additional Requirements for MAs: Graduated from an accredited MA program, Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) or willing to attain that certification within 9 Mos of the start date, CPR certification
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or RMA)
• 1+ years of Licensed Practical Nurse experience with electronic medical records software
• Experience performing medical back office tasks including obtaining vital signs, injections/immunizations, phlebotomy, urinalysis and administering medications
• Experience performing medical front office tasks including scheduling appointments, prior authorizations, medication refills and referrals

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 to $28.80 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
