Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Siemens equipment proficiency for a role at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital.
Details
Evening shift, 3x12 hours, Friday-Sunday (3:00 PM-3:00 AM), with start times subject to change by up to 2 hours based on department needs
No on-call requirement
May be required to float to a nearby outpatient clinic location
Uses Siemens CT equipment and Epic charting system
Holiday coverage required, scheduled based on unit need
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
BLS, ARRT(R), and ARRT(CT) certifications required
Epic and Siemens experience required
Virginia state license required if applicable; active license from any state accepted while VA license processes
Experience with contrast media preparation/administration and radiation safety
Travel experience required
Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Level I/II trauma experience preferred
Additional Information
Position is based at a 700+ bed acute care teaching hospital that is a Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, and certified stroke center
Perform CT imaging across abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal systems, along with special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and vascular CTA studies
Utilize 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement for image display and post-processing
Work across various settings including adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ICU, and emergency department
All RTO requests must be submitted upfront with application
Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
Local candidates are not accepted
Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible, calculated from the driver's license address
Previous employees must have a break of at least one year before returning as a traveler
