Position Description The Department of Mathematics at California State University, Bakersfield accepts applications on an ongoing basis for its pool of part‑time lecturers. The applicant pool is intended to fill short‑term temporary lecturer positions across the campus, with the possibility of rehiring. Appointments may last from one day to a whole semester, and the pool is open as needed throughout the academic year. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in mathematics or statistics. Preferred Qualifications College teaching experience. Salary Lecturer salary depends on education and experience. Salary schedule for Lecturer – Academic Year classifications is as follows: Range2: $5,507 – $6,677 Range3: $6,221 – $13,224 Range4: $6,825 – $14,523 Range5: $8,593 – $15,211 Salary is prorated for part‑time assignments.
