Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job

Overview

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for medical step-down/PCU patients with a 1:4 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Monitor and manage conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, and CKD
- Administer IV medications, perform monitoring and titration as needed, and maintain telemetry oversight
- Collaborate with physicians, unit leadership, and care teams; document thoroughly and participate in care coordination and discharge planning
- Maintain patient safety and quality of care, including response to changes in patient status and escalation as appropriate
- Potentially float to IMCU units to support patient needs based on unit census

Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia (or eligible for licensure in Georgia)
- ACLS and BLS certifications current
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in medical step-down/PCU or similar acute care with telemetry
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, and critical care nursing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting and float to IMCU units as needed
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient-centered care
