General Production Worker

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as General Production Workers. This role involves operating various equipment to package dry pasta products for retail and food service distribution. Positions are available for both Day and Night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate vertical form-fill-seal and folding carton equipment.
• Operate automated case packing equipment.
• Operate inkjet date and case coding equipment.
• Monitor and operate conveyors, elevators, and pallet stackers.
• Operate powered industrial trucks, such as forklifts.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Lift, stack, and perform various other tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of production or manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 75 lbs.
• Capability to work in physically demanding situations, such as bending, reaching, and squatting.
• Proficiency in operating production and packaging equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in food processing is preferred.
• Forklift experience is preferred, but not required.
• Participation in plant safety programs.
• Understanding of GMP policies and federal regulations related to process operations.

Work Environment

The work environment is not climate-controlled and can get warm near machines. Employees must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and climb ladders. Personal protective equipment, including steel toes, safety glasses, and earplugs, is required. The facility is exposed to moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise levels, and various weather conditions. Employees will also be exposed to chemicals used in cleaning and sanitation processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lees Summit, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
