Orthopedic RN Job Details Position Title: Locum Tenens Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) Job Type: Travel contract / Locum tenens Specialties: Orthopedic, Post-Operative, Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Location: Gallatin, Tennessee (37066) – Nashville area healthcare jobs Facility: Accredited Level III Trauma Center, 23-bed unit Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Weekly Hours: 36 Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/5/2026) Weekend Rotation: Every third weekend, as needed Float Requirement: Willingness to float to other units as needed Electronic Health Record: Meditech Dress Code: Any scrub color (T-shirts must have hospital logo; no acrylic nails) Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1800-$1840 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Tennessee RN license (Registered Nurse) ASN degree or higher in Nursing Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in orthopedic, post-op, or med/surg settings Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (must be current prior to start) Strong teamwork, customer service, and communication skills Ability to float to other nursing units as needed Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check before assignment Orthopedic RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic, post-operative, bariatric, GI, and trauma patients (ages 13+ including geriatric, adult, and pediatric) Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and progress in compliance with hospital standards Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process Maintain adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols Float to other units as required to support overall patient care Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Gallatin, Tennessee, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
