• Schedule: 4 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Practice Setting: Hospital operating room coverage
• Case Mix: General surgical cases with occasional regional anesthesia
• Patient Population: Adolescents and adults 13+
• Support Staff: CRNA support available
• EMR: Epic
• Coverage Need: Full-time preferred; must be able to commit to at least 2 weeks per month
• Openings: 2
• Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days

• Board certification in Anesthesiology required; truly board-eligible candidates may be considered if fellowship trained
• Active California medical license required
• California DEA with Schedule 2/2N required
• At least 2 years of anesthesiology experience required
• Recent experience in tertiary care centers required
• Recent experience working independently in the operating room required
• Comfort with both inpatient and outpatient surgical cases required
• Regional anesthesia experience strongly preferred
• Trauma experience strongly preferred
• BLS and ACLS preferred; all certifications must be AHA
• COVID-19 vaccination with booster required; medical and religious exemptions only
• Recent experience with higher-acuity ASA 3+ patients preferred

• Perform preoperative assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans
• Provide anesthesia care for general surgical cases across a variety of procedures
• Deliver safe, efficient care for occasional regional anesthesia cases
• Work independently in the operating room while collaborating with CRNAs as needed
• Manage induction, maintenance, emergence, and smooth perioperative handoffs
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic
• Support a high-functioning surgical workflow and patient-centered care
• Adapt to a mix of inpatient and outpatient case settings with professionalism and flexibility
