CNC Technician

Our commitment to employee empowerment and engagement ensures that every team member can achieve their full potential in an inclusive and collaborative environment.Primary Purpose of PositionTo work within the engineering group under the direction of the CNC Process Leader to support production, maintenance and program launches on CNC and dedicated machining equipment focusing on process, productivity, quality and technology.ResponsibilitiesSupport in Design of work holding fixtures to be used in machining operations. Setup of tooling lineups for complete machining of metal castingsFloor level problem solving activities championDevelop and enhance machine tool and equipment build standards in accordance with new technology, materials and best practicesEducation, experience, skillsTechnical diploma or above in mechanical or manufacturingCreating cutter paths from CAD geometry, 4 and 5 axis machining, horizontal and verticalMust have prior, demonstrable experience in CNC machining, tooling process, and maintenance fields with preferably five or more years of experience.Knowledge and understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing; layout is preferred.CAD/CAM, AutoCAD or other related computer graphics/drafting related experience would be an asset.Why work for Meridian Lightweight Technologies?At Meridian Lightweight Technologies, you'll be part of a team that is shaping the future of lightweight automotive manufacturing.
