This position requires expertise in the recovery of pediatric patients after surgical procedures. The nurse will manage patient care in a transitional phase from anesthesia to recovery, providing essential monitoring and support. Responsibilities include medication reconciliation, discharge instructions, and pain assessment and management. The ideal candidate should be proficient in starting and maintaining IVs and straight urinary catheterization. Experience with pre-operative assessments and education is essential. The role may require the nurse to float to different departments or facilities as needed, ensuring flexible staffing solutions. Candidates must possess a California RN license and be willing to comply with required vaccinations. This role accepts first-time travelers. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams are crucial for success in this position.
