Exciting Opportunity for Night Shift Registered Nurse!

Job Description:


- Shift: Nights 7 PM - 7 AM
- Position Availability: 1 Full-Time Position

Summary:

- Develop and implement long-range goals and plans for patient care.
- Lead and delegate tasks effectively to manage clinical situations.

Responsibilities:


- Meet expectations of applicable One CHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) for assigned patients in accordance with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Job Requirements:


- Education/Skills:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.


- Experience:
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.


- Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
- Current certification from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM).
- Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications required (AHA only).
- RN License in the state of TX or compact.

- Position Requirements:
- New hires must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days.
- Precepted by a designated trained staff member.
- Completion of organizational entry competency validation and Perinatal Services-specific competency validation.
- Fulfill all annual competency verification requirements.


- Preferred Experience:
- Perinatal RN Residency or recently practicing in a Perinatal Setting.
