Ophthalmic Assistant

Iowa Eye Center in Cedar Rapids is now hiring for an Ophthalmic Assistant! Iowa Eye Center is a physician owned practice that sees patients from both Unity Point and Mercy Medical systems. Local solo practice ophthalmologists founded the group practice in 1992, and there is a large group of employees that have been here since the beginning. It's a great place to work! There are 8 physicians and 55 employees. We are currently searching for someone to join our team. This is a full-time position with one afternoon off per week. Key Responsibilities: History taking Lensometry Refractometry IOP Measurements What we are looking for: Experience in Ophthalmic Assisting, but would train a well-qualified Medical Assistant with extensive medical office experience or training Experience with Ophthalmology and/or NextGen Practice Management System would be great but not required Experience with Ophthalmic and Medical terminology Detailed oriented person Excellent attendance, punctuality and reliability are essential Ability to communicate with your co-workers, physicians and medical personnel Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients Paid time off, including paid maternity leave Health and Dental Short Term and Long Term Disability Life Insurance Discount in Optical Shop 401K retirement with Profit Sharing Location: 1650 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402, USA #J-18808-Ljbffr Corridor Careers
