What Makes This Role Great:

In this high-impact role, you will serve as a key technical contributor bridging technology products with heavy machinery, directly defining regional needs and shaping the integration of Trimble Earthworks across North American construction environments.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

* Document complex mechanical systems through 3D solid models, detailed assembly layouts, and comprehensive bill of materials.

* Perform hands-on design verification, FEA simulation optimization, and mechanical qualification testing for new product introduction.

* Execute and document on-machine tests, troubleshooting complex control systems directly on various construction machines.

* Conduct machine set-ups and tear-downs for prototype evaluations, proof of concept testing, and field demonstrations.

* Collaborate with cross-functional support and sales teams to define regional product needs and drive corrective action plans.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience in mechanical or civil engineering.

* Demonstrable professional engineering experience with strong proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software.

* Working knowledge of common communication protocols, including CAN, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Serial.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively across a global engineering network.

* Practical dexterity and fitness required to work safely in a hands-on machine testing environment.

Bonus Points For:

* Hands-on experience operating heavy construction machinery or working with hydraulic systems.

* Background in sheet metal design, cable assembly design, or basic control and position system theory.

* Current construction safety certification.

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
