Adjunct Instructor - Thermodynamics

Overview Saint Louis University (SLU) is a Catholic research university with campuses in St. Louis and Madrid. The School of Science and Engineering seeks a dynamic adjunct faculty member to teach an undergraduate Thermodynamics course for Fall 2025. The position emphasizes engaging, hands-on learning in a team-oriented environment. Candidates should possess technical proficiency and practical experience in the disciplinary areas they intend to teach and hold a Ph.D. or an M.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Responsibilities Teach an undergraduate Thermodynamics course to engineering students for Fall 2025. Deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences in a collaborative, student-focused environment. Contribute to industry-university relationships and participate in course-related activities as needed. Course Topics Properties, characteristics and fundamental equations of gases. Application of the first and second laws of thermodynamics to engines, cycles, and processes. Qualifications Ph.D. or M.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
