We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pet Care Attendant to join our team at Bay Paws Pet Resort. We welcome pups and kitties of all shapes, sizes, and breed and we want YOU to help us take care of them! About Bay Paws Pet Resort

Bay Paws Trinity is a BRAND NEW building, becoming the company's third location in the Tampa Bay area. We offer offering luxury boarding, daycare, and grooming services for cats, dogs, and pocket pets. All boarding suites and daycare play areas are equipped with cameras accessible through our client portal. We believe that the best pet care requires an understanding and knowledge of pet behavior, in addition to excellent customer service. Our owner is one of less than 300 people worldwide certified as a Professional Animal Care Manager.

Shifts Needed:

6AM - 2PM AM Kennel Technician

2PM - 10PM PM Kennel Technician

8AM-6PM Daycare Attendant

Responsibilities

• Supervise daycare dogs, ensuring their safety and providing a positive and stimulating environment.
• Engage in playtime activities, including interactive games, fetch, and socialization.
• Maintain clean and sanitary daycare and boarding areas, including regular cleaning of the yard, play equipment, kennels, bedding, common areas, and the pool
• Stay informed about dog behavior, body language, and breed-specific traits to better understand and meet their needs.
• Provide food, water, and medications as directed by pet owners or management.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure and controlled environment for the pets.
• Administer basic grooming tasks such as brushing, nail trims, and bathing as needed.
• Provide compassionate care and attention to pets, addressing their needs and providing comfort during their stay.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of pet supplies and notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.

Requirements

• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs is a MUST.
• Previous experience working with dogs, such as in a dog daycare, boarding facility, vet clinic, or animal shelter is preferred but we will train an enthusiastic candidate.
• Passion for working with dogs and providing exceptional care and attention to their needs.
• Knowledge of dog behavior, body language, and basic care practices - or willingness to learn!
• Have the capacity and willingness to learn about caring for animals, including feeding, handling, and cleaning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both pets and team members.
• Ability to work outside in Florida weather.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours at a time.
