- Lead and assist with elective and emergency equine surgeries, from pre-op planning through recovery and discharge
- Oversee sterile preparation, patient positioning, and perioperative protocols in concert with skilled technicians
- Perform lameness evaluations, diagnostic workups, and treatment plans; interpret imaging with on-site resources
- Provide collaborative support for ambulatory cases, including on-farm visits and coordination with referring veterinarians
- Deliver clear client communication, timely medical records, and thorough discharge instructions
- Contribute to SOP development, team training, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Seasonal case demands may include occasional weekends or extended hours linked to regional horse sales and events Requirements
- DVM or equivalent and license to practice veterinary medicine in Kentucky (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
- Board-certified in equine surgery or residency trained and board-eligible
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Demonstrated experience in equine surgical case management and perioperative care
- Strong horse-handling skills and comfort with performance and sport-horse cases
- Valid driver’s license and ability to participate in ambulatory activities as needed
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills; flexibility for seasonal scheduling needs Apply
