We are seeking a skilled and reliable Low Voltage Technician/Electrician to join our team. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and service of low-voltage cabling systems supporting network, telephone, video surveillance, and access control infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings hands-on cabling experience and strong attention to detail and is able to pass a federal background check as a condition of employment.

$40,000 - $60,000 yearly

• Install, terminate, and service low voltage cabling for network, telephone, video surveillance (CCTV), and access control systems

• Run, pull, and dress cabling through walls, ceilings, conduit, and raceways in compliance with industry standards

• Terminate and test CAT5e/CAT6 copper cabling

• Splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cabling

• Install and terminate coaxial cabling for video and related systems

• Mount and wire cameras, access control panels, card readers, door strikes, and related devices

• Label, document, and organize cabling and equipment per project/company standards

• Troubleshoot and diagnose connectivity and system issues; perform repairs as needed

• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications

• Ensure work meets applicable codes (NEC, TIA/EIA) and site-specific safety requirements

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades on job sites

• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order

• Complete required paperwork, service reports, and job documentation in a timely manner

• Proven experience installing and servicing low voltage cabling systems

• Working knowledge of CAT5e/CAT6, Fiber Optics, and Coax cabling and termination methods

• Experience with network, telephone, CCTV/video surveillance, and/or access control systems required (Prefer 5+ years)

• Ability to use standard low voltage tools (punch-down tools, cable testers, fiber splicers/OTDR, fish tape, etc.)

• Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work at heights (ladders, lifts) and in confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces) as needed

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
